I'm not sure  if anyone attending the SRGC AGM and Autumn Event  tomorrow, who is travelling from the south, will be  crossing the Firth of Forth  quite this early in the morning - but I thought it would be fun to show this  beautiful  shot from sunrise yesterday, by the professional photographer, John Pow,   of the Forth Bridges .....

Some photos from today's AGM at Scone from Ian Christie- .
David Rankin came to the end of his presidency and handed over to Julia Corden -  congratulations Julia, we know your devotion to the Club and  wish you well in office.

Colour co-ordination  from the  major players  was quite something!

A note from a member in attendance at the event ......

"A good AGM today. David Rankin was at his best in sociable mode and said all the right things.  The Exploration Fund  recipients gave very personable and coherent talks and Peter Maguire took a personal and beautifully illustrated journey through a number of interesting gardens and plants around the globe. Julia took over nicely, lots of folk received nice appreciations and prizes and there was sufficient cake to satisfy the most acquisitive stomach.
Nine of Lawrence’s paintings as a prelude to the Dunblane auction and some folk actually seemed quite interested. "
