It was a time for the election of a new President across the pond, and we welcome Peter George, of the Berkshire Chapter NARGS, Petersham, MA to that post.

http://bnargs.org/NewsPDFs/2011June.pdf .... it is the good news that SRGC Forumist and very active NARGS member, "astragalus" - Anne Speigel - received the Linc and Tammy Foster Millstream Garden Award, which reads "In recognition of her outstanding rock and alpine garden."
As we have seen form Anne's own pictures and those of Cliff Booker of Anne's garden, this is a very well deserved award. Many congratulations to Anne for this recognition of her beautiful garden.. and, I imagine she would say, her ongoing struggle against the 'antlered rats' which threaten it.
